Energy

Energy consumption is a major contributor to our Carbon Footprint, and we now have a contract with Bizz Energy who supply the Manor House Golf Club with 100% green energy. This has been in place since October 2007.

All fully implemented following the Carbon Trust Report Guidelines.

We are in the midst of upgrading our targets on low energy light bulbs. (watch this space)

Recycling

A large amount of recycling goes on at our hotel and golf club. This includes glass, paper, cardboard and printer cartridges. 

We have in place:
100% Glass bottle recycling
100% Cardboard recycling
100% Toner cartridge recycling
80 - 82 % Paper recycling

Food

All our Chefs and Kitchen teams are totally committed to supporting Food Heroes, an Exclusive Hotels initiative to promote and work with local suppliers, so that they can source the very best seasonal produce in and around their immediate area and develop excitingly varied menus.

Home grown

We have created a wonderful Kitchen garden producing a wide variety of seasonal and organic produce for our chefs. 

This guarantees fresh ingredients from ground to plate in a matter of an hour or two. We have a hen house producing fresh eggs every day. We also have a green waste compost policy from gardens and kitchen.
